Camp Counselor Positions Available

The Epilepsy Foundation of NJ (EFNJ) is conducting another year of its annual summer camp program- Camp NOVA! Camp NOVA’s primary purpose is to provide a social and interactive camping experience for teens and young adults with epilepsy and other developmental disabilities. It also provides respite to family members and caregivers. Planned program activities will include a variety of physical and recreational opportunities such as arts and crafts, sports, music, swimming, boating, fishing and evening events.

The Epilepsy Foundation of NJ is looking to employ counselors to live and work at the camp for this unique and rewarding experience. The salary is approximately $300 - $450. EFNJ is seeking mature, motivated, individuals who will be responsible for the campers. The counselors will be responsible for campers and participation in camp activities and will report to the Director.

Each Counselor will be required to participate in the one-day training session. The applicant should have experience with children with special needs or a strong interest in learning.

A variety of internships are available. Most internships are uncompensated, however, we work with colleges and universities to assure that interns receive academic credit.
