The Family Resource Network Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey

SHARE Program

Students Hearing About and Recognizing Epilepsy (SHARE) is an education program designed for fifth graders to increase knowledge about epilepsy and seizure first aid. Funded by the Anita Kaufmann Foundation, 7,500 fifth graders have been trained during the 2007-2008 school year. SHARE promotes tolerance for children affected by this medical condition in hopes of reducing the stigma attached to epilepsy. The program is available to any school for their fifth grade classes.
